“This series “chalkboard” is painted on an actual old classroom chalk board. I imagine the lives of the children who learned things, the parents of the children, and friends who all studied from the chalkboard. The surface is curved, reflective an sometimes banged up in beautiful shapes and ways reflective of its recipients”
“On a walk in little Havana, where I lived, I notced an old theatre closed and put all its theatre chairs out for trash pick up. Well I picked them up instead, to make my own theatrics :). Originally there were 19, (in 2009) I reworked some over the years, these are the latest and last.”
